Business Intelligence Business Analyst

Our client, a leader in the Banking industry is seeking the services of a BI Business Analyst with 3 years BI BA experience.

We are looking for your strong ETL, Data warehousing and SQL experience coupled with advanced analysis experience including business, data and statistic analysis. Report writing and design, as well as Cognos experience is preferred.

You will be responsible for report design and data requirements gathering, creating functional specifications of business needs, understanding business strategies, objectives, processes, and BI alignment to meeting business needs and assisting business managers set and balance BI priorities. You will also be involved in assisting in evaluating and rationalizing new work efforts, driving BI standardization, adoption, and acceptance; and to gathering business requirements and conduct necessary analysis to determine required BI technical work.

Worked on all phases of data warehouse development lifecycle.
Excellent technical and analytical skills.
Clear understanding of ER and Dimensional modelling design goals.
Requirements gathering and design of data warehouse entities.
Design and development of database structures, stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions.
Technical design and development of OLAP cubes with Analysis Services.
Build efficient SSIS packages for the facilitating of the entire ETL process.
Design and building of cube reports with Reporting Services and Excel.
Analysis and defining of user requirements.
Technical analysis and development of extensions and change requests.
Conduct code walkthroughs and review peer code and documentation.
Perform basic DBA activities.
Advise on server hardware and software specifications and upgrading.
Facilitate user training and support.
Salary: R 360 000 to R 420 000 CTC P/A
Qualification Required: Bachelor degree in technology related field is required
